London-based The Wine & Spirit Education Trust, or WSET, is the worlds foremost educational body in the field of wine and spirits. TAFE SA will be holding their WSET Level 1 Award in Sake course on March the 10th this year at their Urrbrae campus.
This course will assist those who are new to the subject, this qualification offers a hands-on introduction to the world of sake. You’ll explore the main styles and types of sake through sight, smell and taste to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas.
What you’ll learn:
- The basic principles of sake production
- The main types and styles of sake
- How to serve sake
- Factors affecting the flavour of sake
- How to describe sake using the WSET level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Sake® (SAT)
Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.
TAFE SA is delighted to be working with Yukino Ochiai who is well versed in the world of Sake and a WSET Certified Educator teaching all levels of the WSET Sake courses.
