OrganiserBooks for Cooks, Sake Connect

On Thursday the 21st of March, a special sake introduction and tasting session is scheduled to be held by Sake Connect founder Melissa Mills. Melissa is one of Australia’s foremost sake educators and has over a decades experience in the sake industry; including being certified with the WSET level 3 sake qualification, winning the 2017 International Wine Challenge Award in Sake and having sampled some 1600-plus bottles of sake to date.

In this session, held from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on the 21st in Melbourne CBD’s culinary bookstore Books for Cooks, Melissa will introduce sake to participants – leading them through a select range of bottles before delving further into the complex world of the beverage.

Tickets are $30 per person, and, in addition to the educational session, also include a take-home copy of leading sake expert John Gauntner’s ‘The Sake Handbook‘, sake tastings and matched food on the night and a 25% online discount voucher to start your home sake collection with Supersake – a leading Australian sake importer.

For more information, including the booking form, transport options and an event FAQ, check out the official event page at the Eventbrite link above.
