Come to Sakeshop’s Melbourne store in Chef’s Armoury this Saturday the 23rd of March between 1:30PM and 4:00PM to try some rare sakes by namesake Tomofumi Yamamoto of Akita Prefecture’s Yamamoto Gomei Brewery. Tomofumi is a 4th generation brewer – continuing the family’s brewery operations in northern Japan which started all the way back in 1901. He will present a range of his unique styles including the “clean, refreshing, dry ‘Dokara'” and the “juicy vibrant Midnight Blue”. Saturday’s event will also feature Australia’s first ever taste of the Yamamoto Ice Blue – a Junmai Daiginjo (“pure rice” and 50% grain-polished) sake.
The event will run from 1:30 to 4PM in Sakeshop’s Melbourne store – address above, and is free. Attendees will also have the opportunity to check out the latest shipments both of Yamamoto’s and other sake’s arriving at the store.
