Australia’s only dedicated saké shop is hosting a free tasting event dedicated to Senbazura saké.
The tasting session will feature a range of saké including an extremely rare “Gold Label Daiginjo” which has won an incredible 18 gold medals at Japan’s, and indeed the world’s most prestigious saké competition: Zenkoku Shinshu Kampyoukai (Annual Japan Sake Awards).
Kuju Senbazura saké is made by Sato Shuzo in the tiny village of Bungo Taketa, located in the foothills of Mt Kuji in Oita Prefecture (the area is surrounded by mountains and forests, absolutely stunning). The name Senbazura translated to “A Thousand Paper Cranes” and is a tribute to the Nobel Prize winning author Yasunari Kawabata’s book of the same name who was friends with the brewery’s second owner.
Sakeshop invite you to this incredible free tasting to try a range of small batch, rare saké from this much loved brewery.
