Join us for the second edition of the Australian Sake Festival at Queen Victoria Market on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July 2024! This vibrant celebration of Japanese sake and culture promises a unique and immersive experience for both sake enthusiasts and those new to this exquisite beverage.

Over the two-day event, you can explore over 70 stalls featuring 200 varieties of sake from Australian distributors and Japanese brewers. The festival provides a fantastic opportunity to taste a diverse range of sake, with bottles available for take-home purchase.

In addition to the sake offerings, the festival will feature a wide variety of food stalls from local restaurants, ensuring no one leaves hungry. Enjoy mouth-watering dishes such as flame-grilled skewers, teppanyaki noodles, and delicious gyoza, along with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. There will also be Japanese-inspired delicacies like miso, mochi, and matcha chocolate available for purchase.

Entertainment will include live performances by Nana Koizumi, traditional Taiko drumming by the energetic Wadaiko Rindo, and the stunning Hananingen floral display by Yuko Konno. Sake Educator and Sake Samurai Simone Maynard will offer free sake seminars for beginners, providing tips on selecting the right sake and unique food pairing suggestions. Additionally, you can participate in workshops such as chopstick making by Hashitou-Honten and explore beautifully crafted sake wares by renowned Australian potter Paul Davis.

The festival is family-friendly, with children under 18 allowed free entry when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Each ticket includes a Sake Festival tasting glass to take home as a souvenir.

• SAT: 10am~2:30pm (last drink 2pm) / 3:30pm~8pm (last drink 7:30pm)
• SUN: 2pm~6:30pm (last drink 6pm)

• General admission: $69
• Group discount for 4 people: $260
• Free entry for under 18 (ID may be required. Must be accompanied by ticket-holding adult)
• Ticket includes a Sake Festival tasting glass to take home
