About Sake Mistress
Simone – Sake Mistress, is based in Melbourne and has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. She has travelled to various locations in Japan and spent the best part of 2007 living in Osaka.

Simone holds the WSET Sake Level 3 Certification and, in January 2018, travelled to Tokyo to participate in John Gauntner’s Sake Professional Course, receiving a Sake Professional Certification from the Sake Education Council.

She recently returned from Japan after completing John Gauntner’s Advanced (Level 2) Sake Professional Course in Tokyo.

Her interest and passion for sake evolved from an early fascination with Japanese culture. Her mission is to help promote the many joys of sake, with its rich cultural history and fine craftsmanship, in Australia and beyond.
