The annual Sake Matsuri is back in Melbourne this year after a wildly popular 2018 showing. The event will be hosted by REVEL, the event-services company who are behind many of the food, drinks and popular-culture events popping up in Australia in recent years.
The festival is happening this weekend on Saturday the 8th of June in Collingwood, and will see participation by a number of Australia’s top sake industry firms including Black Market Sake, Déjà vu Sake Co. and Sakeshop amongst others, who will be bringing in a large variety of specially imported sake types and brands on the day.
Tickets are going for $60 a person for general admission, or $55 for group bookings over six people, and include all sake samplings on the day. Participants may also choose buy some of their favourite sampled sakes in bottle form to take home afterwards. Food will also be available, at an extra charge, “cooked by some local legends announced closer to the event”.
