OrganiserSakenet Australia

The legendary Duo behind one of Australia’s best saké importers have organised a special izakaya (traditional small bar) experience for Sydney saké fans.

Rey and Taka operate the family owned Sakenet Australia, which brings some of the best Japanese saké to Australia from small, artisanal saké makers. Sakenet has a strong focus on showing the traditional culture behind saké and as such serve a huge variety of hard to find, high quality saké kan (warm). (If you have only tried cheap saké, heated quickly and incorrectly at a Japanese restaurant –we promise you this is a whole new and delicious experience).

The izakaya will remain open from Thursday the 9th of Jan until Saturday the 11th, 6pm-11pm daily. We highly recommend trying as many varieties as you can (they’re all amazing) but some of our personal favourites include the Taketsuru Junmai Nama Genshu and Bentenmusume Junmai served warm.

We hope to see you at this old-world experience created by the iconic family behind Sakenet.
