The Annual Miss Sake program is coming to Australia for the very first time in 2019!

The Miss Sake program exists to select a Cultural Ambassador to share a love and understanding of sake, Japanese cuisine and the charm of Japanese culture both inside and outside of Japan.

The program originated in Japan in 2013 and has subsequently expanded into other countries with the primary mission to promote cultural understanding and world community through the appreciation of sake.

In Japan the program has the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the National Tax Agency and the Japan Sake Brewery Association.

This years application period has just been extended to February 27. If you are a female Australia citizen between 20 and 35 years of age, you are eligible to apply. The chosen Miss Sake will get the opportunity to become a paid spokesperson for Japanese sake-related and cultural events, meet other Miss Sake’s from around the world, enjoy unique networking opportunities and enjoy a free trip to Japan to attend the inaugural ceremonies of the 2019 Miss Sake Japan.
