Sake Trade – The Japanese Liquor and Beyond

Registration is now closed as we have reached full capacity. Thank you and we look forward to having you at the next event.

On Monday 15th January, 2024, for one delightful afternoon only, Brisbane will play host to an exciting Japanese sake & liquor trade event.

This event is a collaboration between the Japanese Government and Australian Sake Festival organiser, JAMS.TV Pty Ltd. It has been curated for those working in Brisbane-based restaurants and bars, as well as liquor wholesalers/retailers, who are interested in introducing or further promoting Japanese sake and liquor in their venue. At the same time, this event gives people in the industry a chance to further expand their own knowledge of Japanese sake.

Seven of Australia’s specialised sake importers along with several sake brewery representatives from Japan will join forces to participate in this one-day trade event to introduce their products to Brisbane-based buyers and those in the F&B industry on Monday 15th January.

As part of this trade event, there will be a special ‘Sake and Food Pairing Seminar’ held for industry professionals to attend. This seminar will be hosted by Melbourne-based Sake Samurai: Simone Maynard, who works as a sake educator, promoter and consultant. This seminar will cover many topics including sake styles & food pairing, along with discussions around misconceptions and making sake relatable to customers. This seminar will also allow for Q&A time.

There will be a wonderfully diverse range of Japanese sake on display and available for tasting, alongside several other premium Japanese liquor products.

We encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity to meet directly with local importers and Japan-based brewery representatives, and learn more about their unique and diverse range of products, as well as attend the free sake and food pairing seminar and event.

Should you wish to attend this trade event, we would appreciate it if you could inform us by Monday, 8th January by filling out the online registration form below.

This trade event will begin with the free sake and food seminar hosted by Simone Maynard. During the seminar, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a number of dishes from Yoko Dining’s kitchen, paired alongside a selection of sake chosen specifically for this event by Simone.
